Inspired by the grand architecture of the 18th century the design focus of this kitchen is the pilaster, a gently tapering half column which is based on an original from 1743. Other details like the dentil cornice mouldings and raised and fielded panels also have their origins in the Georgian period.
The Pilaster collection can either be made from oak or can be hand painted in many different colours. You might, for example, choose a neutral colour scheme, or opt for a contrasting colour such as viridian, cobalt or violet. Translucent glazes brushed over a coloured ground give a luminous depth.
