Smallbone is working with leading British Designers to promote British craft and design skills and to support talent at grass roots levels. As the creator of the painted kitchen over 30 years ago, Smallbone has asked each designer to create a 'signature' design to be hand painted onto its furniture.

William Yeoward's charismatic approach to materials and colour sees him exploring a driftwood theme - using wood graining in a palette of soft grey paints to create a sophisticated trompe l'oeil effect.
